Melbourne Online Marketing (an Australian owned Pinpoint Local Partner Franchise) is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Consultant/Sales Representative for our growing Digital Marketing business.

We are searching for a Contractor who is self-motivated and has a strong drive and determination. The position involves delivering premium digital marketing services to local businesses in the City of Stonnington, Melbourne, Victoria. The Business Development Consultant will meet with potential clients, get an understanding of their digital needs, and provide the best solution to enhance their web presence and grow their business.

Job Details

The Business Development Consultant will be responsible for following a defined Sales Process, generating leads and moving these leads through the sales funnel. The selected candidate will represent the Company to the highest standards. Any prospective Business Development Consultant should have a strong understanding of the B2B sales process, excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals.

The ideal candidate should be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. The Business Development Consultant will often be tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and attending trade shows. Therefore, it is essential that potential candidates be personable and professional.

We recommend that initially, this contract be taken as a part-time role alongside your salaried position. Then after six months or so the income stream from the contract should be sufficient to sustain you.

Ongoing training and coaching will be provided.

Objectives of the Role:

  • Achieve and exceed quotas;
  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business and digital marketing needs;
  • Organize a daily schedule to move leads/prospects through the sales process funnel;
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients;
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients;
  • Follow a defined Sales Process and use the specialty tools, templates, and provided presentations;
  • Drive retention and growth with existing clients by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed;
  • Identify opportunities for clients to act as the Company advocates (e.g., referrals, testimonials, case studies);
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news;
  • Log and keep the Company contact database up to date with all sales activity.


  • Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales;
  • Basic understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a Digital Marketing expert on the job;
  • Excellent customer service and rapport building ability;
  • Positive attitude with a desire to help our clients build their business;
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose
  • Digital Marketing solutions for clients;
  • Strong ability to multitask;
  • Intermediate computer skills;
  • This position is for a contractor – so the successful candidate will need an ABN.


The successful candidate will be compensated with a very rewarding, uncapped earning commission and bonus structure.
